I don’t use the new features in Tiger all that much but occasionally they are a real timesaver. Today, I was adding album art features to iTunes2Web and I ended up with a big directory of files, some of which were images. I wanted to see what I had done.

I was able to search the directory using spotlight and could easily view the 300-ish images (kind:image) in a single directory. I then clicked the little play button in the search results to view a slideshow of the images. Out of curiosity, in the slideshow, I clicked on the index sheet to see all of my images on a single screen. My hardware is pretty good (dual 2GHz G5 tower), but i was surprised to see how quickly the contact sheet was generated (a few seconds).
